About Matt and Gil
Matt Kiemeney
I have been involved in the construction business for the last 25 years, gaining extensive experience in various types of construction projects.
After graduating from college with a diploma in Geomatics, I moved to Alberta to work as a Land Surveyor, a position I held for four years. Eventually, I returned to Manitoba to be closer to family and friends.
Driven by my entrepreneurial spirit, I decided to leave a sales position I had been in for four years. I approached Gil, a long-time friend from high school with over 24 years of experience in the aggregate business, to partner with me in starting Mr. Gravel Inc.
Gil Ross
I have lived in Ste. Anne, Manitoba, for the past 36 years. My journey in the gravel industry began at the age of 16, and I have been dedicated to this field ever since.
For the past 30 years, I have operated heavy equipment, spending 20 of those years as a foreman with my previous employer. Throughout this time, I have installed numerous septic fields and provided extensive excavation services.
With this wealth of experience, Matt and I decided it was time to start our own gravel business. Mr. Gravel was established in 2017, and we are proud to serve our community with the highest standards of quality and reliability.
